A master’s project, in contrast with a master’s thesis, involves implementing and testing a component of a substantial software system. It can also involve providing a comprehensive survey of recent research in a specialized area of Computer Science. In either case, the results are documented as a formal document. Besides the written document, students present their master’s projects in a public forum to professors, peers, and the public.
